Abstract
Because human communication should be a fundamental right, the AAC field is by its nature involved in ethical issues. Of particular concern to researchers will be issues over obtaining research funding, the involvement of AAC users as evaluators and collaborators in research, and the increased ethical sensitivity required with ethnographic studies.
