Abstract
The Glen Hummel Field is located 8 miles NE of the town of Stockdale in Wilson County, Tex. Glen Hummel Field was discovered on Oct. 10, 1963, by Sun Oil Co. at their No. 1 Glen Hummel. The Poth A sand was encountered at a depth of 2,432 ft. Since that date the field was rapidly developed and at the present time there are 36 A sand producers and 5 B sand producers in the field. Glen Hummel field has only been producing since Dec. 1963, and no production decline has been observed. Therefore, the volumetric method of calculating the producible reserve has been used. All of the producible reserves are proved reserves. The total oil produced from the Poth A sand to Sept. 1, 1965 has been 117,122 bbl. The Poth B sand has produced 2,538 bbl to this date.
