Abstract
An impact-resistant apparatus includes support members for supporting the apparatus on a surface, an impact sensor for sensing an impact, and means for aborting a predetermined operation based on an output from the impact sensor. In this apparatus, a protruding member protruding downward from a plane in contact with lower ends of the respective support members is provided at a position wherein impact from the protruding member caused by a fall of the apparatus is transmitted to the impact sensor so that the predetermined operation is aborted effectively.
