Abstract
Electromyography (EMG) analysis can provide useful Information about a muscle's fatigue state by estimating the travelling speed of Action Potentials in muscle tissue. Bit-stream cross-correlation is a reliable and low complexity method for speed estimation. This paper presents a comparison and circuit implementation between three different bit-stream modulation method s suitable for sEMG signals. The modulators are simulated and evaluated using real retrospective sEMG signals and compared with a Matlab cross-correlation function.
