Abstract
The working of a power system is constantly threatened by abnormal and fault conditions. This paper presents a system design to control voltage fluctuations caused by various load conditions in wind solar hybrid micro-grid (MG). In addition, A novel protection scheme which is named wind solar hybrid MG is presented for successful operation of healthy part of the system. The different defect conditions are analyzed on the common DC link, permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) and utility grid side. The over-current and over-voltage defects are analyzed through division into various protective zones. The discrimination is perfectly achieved by isolating various zones and preventing a system from completely shut down. The simulation result depicts that DC MG protection is achieved within time limit. Furthermore, this designed scheme can be implemented without any further modifications on real time applications.
