Abstract
The schedule for different types of Electric Vehicles (EVs) are established so that charging operates during off-peak hours and discharging happens during peak hours (off peak hours). This work suggests a technique for battery charging and discharging in EVs considering the time for full charging. Twenty minute blocks are taken into account here therefore for every twenty minutes, the State of Charge (SoC) of each vehicle is determined and compared to the threshold limits. Each type of vehicle has a predetermined distance which it can travel before getting connected to the grid and duration for which it is connected to the grid. The charging pattern is compared to the planned Real Time Pricing (RTP) for each 20-minute block to determine the appropriate pattern. Renewable Energy Sources(RES) such as wind and PV play a crucial role in profit maximization and grid demand minimization. This has been examined for two different topologies of IEEE 33 bus system in the presence of RES.
