The article discusses the highlights of the annual Signature Event at Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers, Florida. Thirty-nine Olympic events such as kayaking, biking and tennis took place in independent living, assisted living and long-term care facilities and medals were awarded during the closing ceremony. The competition was participated by 400 athletes and nearly 1,000 resident volunteers who helped with scoring and tournament bracket arrangements. Each athletes and volunteers were given a 2008 Shell Point Olympics signature t-shirt.
