Abstract
The article presents an interview with poet Claribel Alegría. Alegría comments on the impact of the Cuban Revolution on young Latin American writers. She also shares her views about poet Julio Cortá Alegría describes somes of her books including "Ashes of Izalco" and her approach to writing poetry.
