Abstract
The article looks into the fashion industry's shift away from the traditional spring-fall collection themes in response to technological innovations and consumer trends. It reports the plan of Russian streetwear designer Gosha Rubchinsky to halt seasonal collections and the plan of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in tandem with designer Alex Wang for a summer-winter fashion season. The influence of lifestyle of consumers and youth culture on the fashion business is discussed.
