Abstract
The article focuses on the challenges associated with the diagnosis and treatment of invasive fungal infections in the Great Britain. It mentions that Invasive aspergillosis (IA) and Invasive candidiasis (IC) are the two most common infections caused due to the fungal pathogens. It reveals that the diagnosis and treatment of IA and IC is difficult as IA reveals a very minute sign of its presence through computed tomography (CT) scan while IC treatment requires immediate antifungal therapy.
