Abstract
The article features Lieutenant Yehuda Bielski. Year 2014 marks the 20th anniversary of his death. During World War II, at a battle in the forests of Western Belorussia in Eastern Poland, he was badly wounded. The story of how he led a Jewish partisan group, which consisted of some of those who escaped from the Nazis, into the forests is presented.
