Open Access

A distribution paradigm of scholarly communication that resolves economic, legal, and technical barriers so that academic information can be freely accessed and utilized by anyone immediately upon publication.

Types of Open Access Journals

Gold(Fully) Open Access Journal: The publisher publishes all articles in the journal as open access, with the authors paying the article processing charges(APC).

Hybrid Open Access Journal: The publisher continues to publish the journal via the traditional subscription model, but allows open access only for articles for which the authors have paid the article processing charges(APC).

We provide guidance on publishers that offer waivers or discounts on Article Processing Charges(APC) for open access articles among library subscription journals.
※ When submitting a manuscript, it is mandatory to use Pusan National University(institution name) and @pusan.ac.kr(email) for the corresponding author’s information.

    – All articles published in The European Physical Journal C, The Journal of High Energy Physics, Nuclear Physics B, and Physics Letters B are exempt from APC.
    – For the remaining 7 journals, APC is waived only if the preprint is classified under High Energy Physics on arXiv(arXiv.org).
