Accessing RISS

• At RISS, you can search for materials in the domestic university library. Go to RISS

Search data and use original text

• Only if you access RISS through the library website, you can link the original text of the academic DB that our university subscribes to.
  (Off-campus Acess : Available after logging in to the library website)
• If you have successfully logged in to the institution, it appears at the top of the RISS as shown below.
  

If ‘부산대(직접접속)’ does not appear, please try logging in again and contact the library’s computer support team (051-510-1817, 1832) if you continue to have problems.

View the original text after logging in to the institution (a domestic journal)

• Log in to the institution and search for the material.
• Click ‘원문보기(View Original Text)’ on the paper detail screen

Log in to the institution and view the original text (an overseas journal)

• Log in to the institution and search for the material.
• The ‘Find it @PNU’ icon appears on the search results screen. If you select the icon, you can check the academic resources and text link information that our university subscribes to.

Application for interlibrary loan and original copy

• You must log in with your personal ID to apply for interlibrary loan and original copy.
• You must set your organization as [Busan National University].

How to use services for FREE

• The Ministry of Education and the Korea Educational Research and Information Service (KERIS) operate the Foreign Research Information Center (FRIC) to exclude duplicate subscriptions to foreign academic journals and jointly use them, and the data of the center can be copied free of charge.
• After searching, you can use the original text copy service free of charge if you apply to an institution that appears as [Free] at the bottom of the detailed screen.

• Among the original text materials provided by the National Assembly Library, there is a dedicated PC and printer that can use the material that has become an icon ().
• A Guide to Using the Original Text of the National Assembly Library
  • : Available to all users
  • : Available only on designated PCs of the Agreements
  • : Available after visiting the National Assembly Library in person

Target of use

• Target data: Output service for the original text provided by the National Assembly Library, which can be viewed when visiting an agreement agency
  ※ Additional costs may be incurred as prescribed by the library compensation system in addition to the expenses incurred in printing data that have not obtained consent for the permission to use
• Other materials shall be used after individual membership registration or by visiting the National Assembly Library.

• Borrow period: 3 books for 10 days (no extension allowed)

How to borrow

• Step 1. In Pusan National University library,
  • Receipt of “institutional license” at the borrow/return desk on the 1st floor of the central library (identification)
• Step 2. At the library you visited,
  • Visit to a library where the materials are stored in person
  • Finding Materials in a bookshelf
  • Present ‘institutional use certificate’ at the borrow desk and borrow book
  • After using it, visit the library you borrowed directly and return it

Notices

• Book shall be borrowed within three days of receipt of the “institutional license” card, and the “institutional license” card shall be returned to the library within three days of return of the data
  ※ The “institutional license” card is a card that is jointly used by all members of Pusan National University and cannot be monopolized by individuals
  ※ Failure to return or loss of the card within 30 days of receipt of the “institutional license” card may result in a disadvantage when using the Busan National University Library and suspension of card use
• The borrower is responsible for delinquency, loss, and damage, and compensation shall be in accordance with the provisions of the library where the data are lent

• Number of borrows: 5 books per person (100 books for the upper limit of borrows for all users)
• Borrow period: 14 days

How to apply

• Search for materials on the website of the Busan Metroplitan Simin library Go to Busan Metropolitan Simin Library
• Visit and apply for materials to be borrowed to the “Information Service Team” of the Central Library
• The person in charge of the borrow applies for a data borrow to the Busan Metropolitan Simin library
• The Busan Metropolitan Simin library circular vehicle delivers the data requested by the user.
• Borrow after notifying applicant

How to return

• Borrowers visit the Information Service Team on 1F of the Central Library and return it

Notices

• The borrower is responsible for delinquency, loss, and damage, and compensation and compensation shall be in accordance with the provisions of the library where the data are lent.
