Abstract
This paper describes the inclusion complexation behaviors of anti-viral favipiravir (1) into native and permethylated cyclodextrins (CDs) in aqueous media. The formations of inclusion complexes are supported by UV-vis spectra, Job plots, and mass spectral measurements. The association constants between 1and CDs are systematically estimated by titration experiments.Inclusion complexation behaviors of favipiravir (1) into native and permethylated cyclodextrins were evaluated by Job plots, titration experiments, and electron spray ionization mass spectroscopy. The association constant (K) values between 1and CDs were systematically estimated by titration experiments, indicating the effects of CD structure and pH on the Kvalues.
