Provides an overview of UK government policy and the legislative framework regarding electronic contracts and doing business over the Internet under the Electronic Communications Act 2000 and other legislation. Discusses issues regarding internet contracts, security, domain names, advertising, financial services, defamation, intellectual property, data protection and privacy, taxation, online gambling, outsourcing, and electronic publishing, and notes pending legislation.
