Abstract
Examines the Scottish model of water ownership and regulation. Reviews the relevant legislative framework, the roles and responsibilities of the various bodies governing the Scottish water and sewerage industries, the comparative competition system, possible changes to the regulatory framework, and private companies' involvement in providing retail water and sewerage services to non-household customers.
