Abstract
This paper is the response of the author to a series of criticisms from Todd Lekan, Greg Moses, and John Capps at the 2018 SAAP Meeting. It begins with some consideration of the climate in American philosophical circles in the 1970s, and turns to a series of responses to the critics' questions. The overall empasis is on the importance of pluralism.
