스캠퍼를 활용한 패션 디자인 발상 연구

Abstract
창조성은 기존의 디자인과의 차별화된 새로움으로서 그 가치를 인정받는 것이며, 이러한 창조성은 디자인 분야뿐만 아니라 모든 부분에 중요한 경쟁력을 갖게 하는 요소이며 가장 부가가치 있는 부분이라 할수 있다.그러므로 혁신적이고 창의적인 디자인 표현을 위해 최적화된 아이디어 발상 기법에 대한 연구의 필요성가지고, 창의적인 아이디어 방법 중 비교적 적용이 간단하고 다양한 아이디어를 유도하고 확산시키는 데유용한 스캠퍼 기법에 관해 체계적으로 정리하고 자하며, 이를 바탕으로 패션 디자인에 활용된 스캠퍼의 표현기법을 분석하는데 본 연구의 목적을 두었다. 본 연구의 내용은 이론적 고찰을 통해 스캠퍼 유형을 정리하고 이를 바탕으로 패션 디자인을 분석한 실증적 연구로 이루어졌다. 연구방법으로 먼저 이론적 고찰을 통해 디자인을 비롯한 패션관련 학위논문 및 학술지와 서적, 인터넷 자료를 중심으로 스캠퍼 기법을 대체(S), 결합(C), 적용(A), 변형·확대·축소(M), 용도전환(P), 제거(E), 재배열·반대(R)의 7가지 유형으로 분류한 후 각 유형마다패션 디자인에 적용될 수 있는 검토사항을 나열하였다. 증적 고찰로서 창의적인 표현의 패션을 분석하기 위해 연구범위를 2004년부터 2013년까지 최근 10년 동안업로드 된 미국 스타일닷컴(www.Style.com)의 오뜨꾸띄르(Haute Couture) 컬렉션으로 정하였다. 디자인에 있어서 예술적이고 실험적인 표현이 두드러진 사진중 스캠퍼 기법이 활용된 작품 311장을 분석에 사용하였다. 이론적 고찰을 참고로 각 유형마다 디자인에 적용될 수 있는 검토사항을 나열한 후 각 사진마다 세부항목에 체크하여 공통된 특징을 찾아 정리하였으며, 특성이 겹치는 경우 중복체크가 가능하게 하였고 빈도분석을 실시하였다.패션 디자인에 활용된 스캠퍼(SCAMPER) 유형을 살펴보면 총 7개의 스캠퍼 유형 중 활용도가 낮은 대체(S) 기법을 제외한 결합(C), 적용(A),변형·확대·축소(M),용도전환(P),제거(E), 재배열·반대(R)의 6개 스캠퍼 유형이 나타났다. 결합(C)이 활용된 패션디자인은 아이템과 아이템의 결합이나 한 아이템 내의 구조적인 디테일 간의 결합 또는 아이템과 구조적인 디테일의 결합이 나타났다. 적용(A)이 활용된 패션디자인은 다른 이미지를 빌려오는 방법이 주로 사용되었는데 자연이나 사물을 연상 시키는 이미지를 적용하여 패션전체로 표현하였다. 변형·확대·축소(M)가 활용된 패션 디자인은 형태 중 구조적 디테일의 변형이나 확대가 주로 활용되었다. 용도전환(P)은 다른분야에서 사용된 소재의 활용이 두드러진 특징을 나타내었으며, 제거(E)는 의복의 구조적인 형태 중 일부분을 제거하여 나타난 것을 알 수 있었다. 재배열·반대(R)는 아이템의 위치가 이동되어 재배열되거나 아이템의 위치나 이미지를 반대로 하여 나타났다.이상의 연구 결과는 패션 디자인을 위한 창의적인 아이디어 전개에 체계화된 자료로 유용하게 활용될 것으로 생각된다.
Creativity is recognition of a value with noveltydifferentiated from existing designs, which is anelement that allows important competitiveness in allfields as well as the field of design and is a part thathas the most added value.Thus, for the expression of innovative and creativedesign, it is necessary to study the optimized ideatechnique, so this study attempt to systematically sumup the SCAMPER technique, which is relatively simpleto apply and useful for inducing and diffusing variousideas among the creative idea methods, based on whichit aims to analyze the expressive technique of theSCAMPER used in fashion design.The contents of this study consisted of a summaryof the types of SCAMPER through a theoreticaldiscussion and an empirical study analyzing fashiondesign based on it.As the methods of study, first, through atheoretical discussion, the SCAMPER technique wasclassified into seven types: substitute(S), combine (C),adapt(A), modify, magnify, minify(M), put other use(P),eliminate(E), rearrange, reverse(R) through papers,journals, books and the Internet resources on fashionincluding design, and considerations to be applied tofashion design by each type were listed. As an empiricalstudy, to analyze fashion of creative expression, heresearch scope was set to Haute Couture collections onwww.Style.com in the U.S. uploaded for the past 10years from 2004 through 2013. Among design withremarkable artistic and experimental expressions 311pictures applied with SCAMPER were extracted.Referring to the theoretical discussion,considerationsthat could be applied to design by each type were listedand then the details of each picture were checked tofind out common characteristics for arrangement, andif the characteristics overlapped, a double check wouldbe allowed and a frequency analysis was carried out.Regarding the types of SCAMPER used in fashiondesign, out of the total seven types of SCAMPER,except the substitute(S), technique with a low use, therewere six types of SCAMPER including combine(C),adapt(A), modify, magnify, minify(M), put other use(P),eliminate(E), rearrange, reverse(R). In fashion designusing combine(C), there were combinations betweenitems,between structural details within an item orbetween an item and its structural details. As a fashiondesign using adapt(A), the method of borrowing otherimages was used mostly, and it applied the imageassociated with nature or objects for expressions by theentire fashion. As a fashion design using modify,magnify, minify(M), modification or expansion ofstructural details among the forms was used mostly.put other use(P), was characterized by the use ofmaterials that have been used in another field,ndeliminate(E), removed a part of the structural form ofa cloth. rearrange, reverse(R) rearranged the positionof items or reversed the position of items or the images.The results of the above study will be utilizedusefully as systematized data for the development ofcreative ideas for fashion design.
