Abstract
A 10-year-old boy on an insulin pump with frequent episodes of hypoglycaemia, admitted to administering insulin to cover sweet intake using the pump prime function, thereby bypassing the bolus history that his mother monitored. This case demonstrates childrenʼs resourcefulness and technical abilities, and the difficulties parents experience in providing appropriate support.
