Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE:: METHODS:: RESULTS:: CONCLUSIONS:: SUMMARY AT A GLANCE: The prevalence of COPD in a rural setting in the Philippines, as determined using the BOLD protocol, was higher than that determined previously for an urban area. This may be attributed to smoking, exposure to wood fuels and a high prevalence of tuberculosis in the community.
