Italian, 19th – 20th century, male. Active in Palermo. Born 1847, in Salemi; died 1910 ?. Painter, sculptor. Portraits. Salvatore Rubino studied first at the academy in Palermo thanks to a bursary from the Salemi town council, then with the painter Salvatore La Forte and finally with Morelli in Naples. He specialised in portraits, also painting a number of historical subjects....
