Abstract
This is a study on Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) as teachers competency emphasized in the technology based society. The purpose of this study is to analyze music teachers perception of TPACK and discuss the analysis results in order to find music teachers competency for TPACK of secondary school music curriculum. To achieve that, this researcher surveyed and analyzed 71 music teachers perception of each one of seven TPACK components(TK, PK, CK, TPK, TCK, PCK, and TPACK). The analysis revealed that male teachers had significantly more perception of Technological Knowledge (TK) than female ones, and there was significant difference in each detailed major of music teachers. In addition, regarding Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), there was significant difference depending on teaching career. In other words, the more career the teachers had, the more perception they had. According to the analysis on correlations between TPACK components, all components but PCK had positive correlation with each other. In particular, it was found that TPK and TPACK had higher correlation. Given the analysis results, to enhance music teachers TPACK competency, it is judged to make an effort to help them to have positive attitude and confidence of technology and to experience and apply a variety of technologies for music education.
