음악의 종류는 다양하다. 그러나 우리는 초등학교부터 고등학교 때까지의 음악수업시간에 주로 클래식과 국악을 많이 접한다. 대중음악은 청소년들이 가장 쉽고 재밌게 접할 수 있는 음악임에도 불구하고 낮은 가사의 저질성, 교육적 가치, 예술성의 저하, 상업성의 띈 음악이라는 단점으로 인해 학교 음악교육에서 제외되거나 가볍게 배우는 경향이 많다.본 연구는 고등학교 1학년을 대상으로 연구되었으며, 교과서 제재곡에 따른 통계, 설문조사를 이용하여 분석하였다. 음악교육의 변천과정을 통해 학교 음악교육에서의 가장 큰 목표는 무엇인지, 어떠한 필요성에 의해 음악교육이 교육과정에 포함되어 있는지를 알아보았고, 현재의 음악교육의 문제점을 생각해봄으로써 앞으로 나아가야할 바람직한 음악교육의 방향에 대해서도 생각해 보았다. 또한 대중음악의 정의 및 종류, 특징을 조사하여 대중음악의 개념을 정리하였고, 대중음악의 장·단점을 비교 분석하여 그에 따른 대중음악 교육에 있어서 보안할 점은 무엇인지 알아보았다. 그리고 가장 중요한 청소년과 대중음악간의 밀접한 관계를 알아봄으로써 대중음악의 필요성에 대하여 주장하였다. 더불어 현재 대중음악의 실태를 설문조사하여 고등학교 1학년 학생들의 생각을 조사하였고, 교과서에 수록된 대중음악을 조사하여 실질적으로 대중음악 교육이 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지를 알아보았다. 이러한 이론적 배경과 조사를 통하여 교육하기에 적절한 대중음악의 종류는 무엇이며, 대중음악을 통해 얻을 수 있는 교육의 이점이 무엇인지 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 연구를 통하여 알게 된 점과 대중음악 교육의 장점을 토대로 가창, 기악, 창작, 감상 의 네 영역별로 효과적인 교육 지도안을 제언하였다. 이로써 본 연구자의 대중음악 교육에 관한 연구는 교사들에게는 대중음악의 필요성을 제시함으로써 대중음악교육에 대한 긍정적인 생각의 힘을, 청소년들에게는 다양한 음악을 다각적으로 바라보는 시야를 갖게 해줌으로써 균형감 있는 음악의 감상과 올바른 대중음악의 선별하는 힘을 길러줄 것이라 생각된다.청소년들에게 대중음악은 그들의 문화이고 삶이다. 학교에서의 대중음악 교육은 수많은 음악 중에서 감상하기에 적합한 음악을 그들 스스로 선택하고 판단하는 기준을 마련하며 감상하는 방법을 일러주는 교육이 될 것이다. 이에 교사는 학생들에게 다양한 음악을 소개하고, 안내하여 실질적인 판단은 학생 본인이 스스로 할 수 있게 도와주는 안내자의 역할을 하면 된다.본 연구를 통하여 다양한 대중음악의 활용방안이 연구되어 학교에서의 음악교육이 좀 더 다양한 측면에서 이루어졌으면 하는 바람이다.
There are various kinds of music, such as classic, jazz, new age and pop. However, nobody pictures that students learn pop during music class in high school. Instead of learning pop, students are taught classic and Korean traditional music which is considered more educational. Even though pop is the easiest and closest music, it tends to be exempted from music education because of its low value of education, tendency of commercial and low quality of lyrics.The research is based on analysis of statistics of forbidden song for textbook and survey by high school juniors. The paper leads you to think what the most important proposal of music education is and the reason why music education is included in high school education and presents the aim for ideal music education as well. The thesis will be constructed with the components as follows.. The definition, type and concept of pop music.. Advantage and disadvantage of pop and the complementary for the week points.. The relationship between adolescent and pop and the necessity of pop for music education.. The appropriate pops for education and the advantage of it.. The effective guidance for music education trough the advantage of pop.Through the all of the components, the research will help to have a positive thinking of pop music education for teachers and to have the ability and the broad outlook of pop music for students.Pop is the culture and life for teenager. The education of pop music will give the instruction to choose appropriate pops for education to students. The Teacher should introduce diverse and appropriate pops and guide student to make right decision. I hope that the pop music education will be active and give an opportunity to learn diverse pop music through the plan to apply pop to music education.
