본 연구는 건설업 종사자의 안전의식 조사·분석을 통해 문제점 및 해결방안을 도출하고 이를 통해 안전행동을 유도하여 건설업 재해예방에 기여할 목적으로 수행되었다. 선행연구 분석을 통해 안전의식 향상의 방향성 확인이 어렵고 다양한 구성원이 모인 건설현장의 특성을 반영하지 못해 연구결과가 명확하지 못한 문제점을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 마케팅 분야의 단계적 반응모형을 적용하여 설문을 개발·분석하였다.건설현장 종사자의 안전의식을 변인별로 분석한 결과, 안전의식에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변인은 직책으로 확인되었으며 관리자와 근로자 모두 안전의식 수준에 따라 세 등급으로 분류가 가능한 통계적 차이가 있었다. 직책별 안전의식을 단계적 반응모형을 적용하여 분석하면 관리자는 안전관리자 그룹이 속한 유형과 공사담당 관리자 그룹이 해당되는 유형으로 나눌 수 있는데 각각의 유형을 관리자 단계적 반응유형 Ⅰ과 관리자 단계적 반응유형 Ⅱ로 명명하였다. 근로자 안전의식을 단계적 반응모형을 적용하여 분석하면 소장과 작업반장이 속한 근로자 단계적 반응유형 Ⅰ, 철골·목공·철근콘크리트 업종의 기공근로자와 조공근로자 및 보통인부가 속한 단계적 반응유형 Ⅱ, 토목·기계(설비)·전기(통신)·내장 업종의 기공근로자가 해당되는 단계적 반응유형 Ⅲ로 분류가 가능하다.위와 같은 결과는 건설업의 특성 상 건설현장 구성원 간 안전의식에 차이가 있을 것이라는 본 연구의 기본 가정이 정확한 것임을 증명하는 것이다. 또한 안전의식을 단계적 반응모델로 분석한 결과, 유사한 단계적 반응유형으로 분류가 가능하다는 발견은 본 연구에서 적용한 단계적 반응모델에 의한 조사 및 분석이 효과적임을 보여주는 결과라 할 수 있다.
This study is to survey and analyze the safety perception and attitude of the construction employees for the purpose of contributing to the construction industry accident prevention by inducing safety behaviors of employees. As a result of analyzing domestic preceding research related to safety perception and attitude in construction industry, it was found that a large number of preceding research have a problem of not only ignoring characteristics of construction industry but missing the direction of improvement in safety perception and attitude. In order to solve this problem, this study developed a questionnaire and analyzed the results of survey by adopting DAGMAR(Defining Advertising Goals for Measured Advertising Results) model in marketing.The data analysis found that there were significant differences on safety perception and attitude depending on job positions. Manager and worker groups were divided into tow or three classes depending on the level of safety perception and attitude. The safety perception and attitude of manager was divided by job positions into two types, named Manager's DAGMAR type Ⅰ including safety managers and Manager's DAGMAR type Ⅱ including construction work managers, respectively. The safety perception and attitude of worker was divided also by job positions into three types. Worker's DAGMAR type Ⅰ includes chiefs and foremen, Worker's DAGMAR type Ⅱ includes unskilled workers, laborers and skilled workers in steel frame, wood, reinforcing rod and concrete. Lastly, skilled workers in civil engineering, machine equipment, electric and interior belongs to Worker's DAGMAR type Ⅲ.These results prove the assumption is correct that there are differences on safety perception and attitude due to the characteristics of construction employees. Furthermore, these verify that it is effective the methodology developed by adopting DAGMAR model to survey and analyze the safety perception and attitude of construction employees.
