Abstract
This research searches the unique method of delivery of novel and film through comparison between novel and movie , and considers thematic consciousness and aesthetic value. If the novel is the ‘intrinsic desire of existence and exploration and recording of that origin”, the movie is simplified to “pure love story of eternal bride in my heart beyond the age.” In the novel , there are three different first-person narrators. In this case, the narrator has the ‘ontological’ impulse to prove the existence and experience of ‘me’ except impulse as a narrator. The film exposes the subject consciousness effectively by enlarging the plot. The film focuses on shedding light on the story in three dimensions by changing event, character, point of view, and various visual techniques. Thus, the value of the novel and the film van be summarized as the power of narrative and the scene composition of the film.
본 연구는 소설 『은교』와 영화 <은교>의 비교 분석을 통해 소설과 영화가 가지고 있는 고유의 메시지 전달 방식을 살펴보고, 그로 인한 주제 의식과 미적 가치에 대해 고찰해 보았다. 소설 『은교』가 ‘존재의 내밀한 욕망과 그 근원을 탐험하고 기록’한 것이라면 영화 <은교>는 ‘내 마음 속 영원한 신부를 향한 나이를 넘어선 순수한 사랑이야기’로 단순화 된다. 소설 『은교』는 3명의 각기 다른 1인칭 화자가 등장한다. 이 경우 화자는 이야기꾼으로서의 충동 이외에 ‘나’의 경험과 존재를 입증하려는 ‘존재론적’ 충동을 내재하고 있다. 영화 <은교>는 플롯의 확대를 통해 효과적으로 주제의식을 드러낸다. 사건과 인물, 시점을 변화시키고 다양한 영상 기법을 동원하여 이야기를 입체적으로 조명하는 데 집중한다. 이처럼 소설 『은교』와 영화 <은교>의 가치는 소설이 지닌 서술의 힘과 영화가 보여주는 장면 구성력으로 요약할 수 있다.
