Abstract
This paper provides taxonomic information about existing floristic composition on the Deccan College campus, Pune. The flora is rich, diverse, heterogeneous in composition, and has more than 215 plant species comprising important herbs, shrubs, trees and climbers/twiners. It includes full-grown native and exotic trees, classified into Dicotyledons, Monocotyledons and Gymnosperms. The vegetation on the campus provides home for birds, reptiles, mammals, butterflies, many insects and honeybees. It also plays an important role in ecosystem services and helps in understanding the overall ecological conditions prevailing in the Pune City area.
