Abstract
The effects of recombinant interferon beta-1b and lopinavir-ritonavir on the mortality of patients with Middle East respiratory syndrome are examined. This combination led to lower mortality among hospitalized patients, with the effects greatest when started within seven days after the onset of symptoms.
