Abstract
Treatment of gout, the most common inflammatory arthropathy in men over age 40, and other crystal arthropathies is discussed with the information that effective drugs for both treatment and prevention are available. Pathogenesis, the inflammatory response, and various clinical features, associations and complications are covered.
