Abstract
The article reports on the case of a 41-year-old man with hearing loss, seizures, weakness, and cognitive decline. He was found to have MELAS (mitochondrial encephalomyopathy, lactic acidosis, and stroke-like episodes). The different treatment methodologies and management strategies for MELAS are highlighted.
