Abstract
Archaeologists uncovered a villa that was inhabited until the 1st century A.D. underneath the Palazzo Giampe in the Italian town of Assisi. The archaeologists first uncovered a columns that adorned a central garden then continued on to uncover an entire peristyle. They also uncovered a triclinium or dining room that was adorned with griffins and human faces.
