Abstract
A study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of text messaging as an appointment reminder in the dental setting. A total of 543 caregiver/child dyads were included in the study. Findings show that text messages are not as effective as voice reminders for patients in a dental school pediatric dentistry clinic.
