Abstract
A (2,2-difluorethenyl)zinc reagent was coupled with aryl iodides or bromides in DMF, in the presence of Pd(PPhsub3)sub4, providing the corresponding 2,2-difluorostyrenes. Corresponding styrene derivatives were produced with the coupling of the 4-substituted (tetrafluoraryl)copper reagents with 2,2-difluoro-1-iodethylene. Good yields were observed from both methods.
