Abstract
A heat shock cognate gene, hsc, identified in Escherichia coli, generated a Hsc66 protein as a consequence of overexpression associated with the ferredoxin protein. The hsc gene, which encodes a (2Fe-2S) ferredoxin, is situated near 54 min of the physical map, upstream of the gene fdx.
