Abstract
The interaction of human platelet V1 vascular arginine vasopresin receptors with guanine nucleotide regulatory protein with which they are coupled was examined. Experiments involving radioligand receptor binding studies, radioligand labeling, autoradiographic procedures, GTPase assays, photoaffinity labeling and immunoblotting methods were conducted on purified human platelet membranes. The divalent cation-dependent coupling of the receptors to a G protein was established.
