Abstract
En esta Tesis se ofrece una nueva edición crítica con traducción al español y un comentario textual del Libro III de las Metamorfosis de Ovidio. Para su elaboración he leído 99 códices y 48 ediciones, y he consultado otros 67 mss. y otras 22 ediciones en multitud de pasajes. He añadido artículos y trabajos científicos, en los que este libro ha sido estudiado, para elaborar el trabajo más completo sobre este texto: un estudio de la transmisión desde los primeros fragmentos hasta las más recientes investigaciones, acompañado por un texto, un comentario crítico y un apéndice, donde el lector puede ver todas las lectiones de los mss. Además, a menudo he establecido la correspondencia entre los códices citados por editores anteriores, especialmente por N. Heinsius y P. Burman, y sus actuales nombres.
This Thesis offers a critical edition and textual commentary of Book III of Ovid’s Metamorphoses. To this end I have read 99 codices and 48 editions, and consulted another 67 mss. and a further 22 editions for numerous passages. I have used articles and works in which book III is studied in order to produce the most comprehensive work possible on this text: a study of the transmission from the first fragments down to the most recent research, together with a text, a critical commentary and an appendix where the reader can view all the lectiones of the mss. In addition, I frequently establish the correspondence between the codices cited by previous editors, above all by N. Heinsius and P. Burman, and their present-day names.
