This report describes the findings from an archaeological excavation carried out at Creagh Junction, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. The licensee, Declan Moore, and up to eight assistants carried out the work between 14 and 27 August 2002. The work was undertaken by Moore Archaeological & Environmental Services Ltd. (MOORE) on behalf of the client, Galway County Council, at the site of road improvement works. NOTE: THE REPORT IN ENTITLED CREAGH JUNCTION BUT THE SITE IS IN THE TOWNLAND OF TOWNPARKS. NOTE: THE CO-ORDINATES PROVIDED IN THE REPORT PROVED INACCURATE. THE CORRECT CO-ORDINATES ARE INCLUDED IN THE METADATA.
