Abstract
This study aims to explore how museum exhibition activities contribute to environmental sustainability. Through a theoretical framework combining exhibition components and the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), we conducted a qualitative case study of the "Coffee Grounds Turned into Art" exhibition at the ARKO Art Center. The findings reveal that, in terms of exhibits, resource consumption was minimized through artwork creation using recycled coffee grounds. Regarding exhibition space, energy efficiency was enhanced through the utilization of natural light, while the implementation of modular structures ensured the reusability of exhibition materials. Third, ARKO Art Center established systematic environmental policies through manual development and group activities, while visitor engagement programs were found to raise environmental awareness among audiences. The theoretical implication of this article is to extend the literature of the environmental sustainability of museums by specifying the exhibition practice of the cultural institution.
