Abstract
This study investigated how Vietnamese adolescents’ familiarity, image, preference, and intention to visit Korean tourist destinations are influenced by watching the Korean reality program <1Night 2Days>. The analysis revealed that the attributes of the <1Night 2Days> program influenced the familiarity of Korean tourist destinations, and familiarity with the destinations was found to positively affect the image of the respective regions. A positive image of Korean tourist destinations influenced the preference for these destinations, which in turn affected the intention to visit them. In other words, the more Vietnamese youths watch <1Night 2Days>, the higher their familiarity with Korean tourist destinations becomes, leading to a positive perception and increased preference for these destinations, ultimately indicating a higher tendency to want to visit Korea.
