Abstract
This study aims to clarify the relationship among community attachment of residents and civic competence, learning performance awareness, and village community participation continuance, and to verify the multiple mediating effects of civic competence and learning performance awareness. For this purpose, we conducted a survey for residents over the age of 18 who are participating in village communities in Jeollanam-do and have experience in lifelong learning. And then 505 data were analyzed except for insincere respondents. The suitability of the model was verified through structural equation model analysis, and bootstrapping was applied to verify the mediating effect of civic competence and learning performance awareness. The results of this study are as follows. First, the mediating effect of learning performance awareness was significant in the relationship between community attachment and community participation continuance. Second, the multiple mediating effect of civic competence and learning performance awareness was significant in the relationship between community attachment and community participation continuation. On the other hand, the mediating effect of civic competence in the relationship between community attachment and community participation continuance was not significant.
