Abstract
The study described the process of overcoming the experiences and problems the researchers experienced in teaching students through the education college’s athletic classes for 15 years and sought to find ways to improve athletic classes by conducting in-depth interviews with four students who took the classes. Class related data were based on the analysis of data collected over the seven years from 2012 to 2018 (attendance book, lecture plan, report card, lecture assessment table, class memos, class analysis paper, sexual objection or audit e-mail, reports). The study results are as follows. First, the professor makes students have an interesting experience and inducement of inner motivation in athletic classes. Second, leaders and students must overcome negative prejudice against the athletic classes. Third, physical education professors must continue to develop practical skills for teaching in college. Based on data analysis and in-depth interviews, the following are the necessary elements to be a valuable athletic class for students in college. First, the content of physical education classes defined in the curriculum should be observed. Second, if students select some of the peer evaluation items in the college athletic class, they can increase their participation in the class. Third, there is a need for improved facilities and smart devices for practical classes.
