Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of regular after-school physical education program on blood lipids, sex hormone and growth hormone in obese elementary school male students. 56 school male students were randomly assigned in obesity children with exercise group (EG, n=29) and control group (CG, n=27). The exercise intensity of physical activity program (50~80%HRR POLAR), the frequency (3 times per week, 50 minutes per session) was performed for 12 weeks has been conducted once a week. The test data were analyzed by repeated measured ANOVA, and the alpha level of p<.05 was set for all tests of significance. The T-C, TG and LDL-C in time*group(interaction) has been significantly difference(p<.01, p<.05, p<.01). The HDL-C in time and time*group(interaction) has been significantly difference(p<.05, p<.01). The GH(Growth Hormone) in group has been significantly difference(p<.05). In conclusion, the results of this study showed that Regular After-School Physical Education program improve blood lipids, sexhormone, growth hormone in obese elementary school students. Also, it can be an effective means for prevention and treatment of obese children by taking regular after-school physical education programs at the school.
