Abstract
The paper presents a test bench development on a revolutionary mode of transportation, the Hyperloop. It presents it in a step-by-step modeling, simulation, and followed by prototyping. However, there are limited resources and simulation environments supporting this trend. More specifically, the development of a linear synchronous machine model and control environment for the drive is imperative. Currently, there are various research already established on magnetic levitating trains and electric vehicle drive systems. Using the research from both areas will allow for development of the presented topic. The main goal of this paper is to model the propulsion system based on the control of a linear synchronous motor. The simulations are made in both PSIM and Typhoon HIL (hardware in the loop) platform. The model is verified with a match of results from PSIM and Typhoon.
