Abstract
An improved Polar Format Algorithm (PFA) of Circular SAR (CSAR) is proposed to solve the problems of defocus and geometric distortion in far field. In this algorithm, a new kernel function is constructed and the phase term caused by radar trajectory is compensated to remove the influence caused by radar aircraft height, enlarge the imaging scene and reduce image distortion. Simulation results show that the algorithm is effective.
