Abstract
SummaryWe present a technique to stabilize laser frequency to an average of different cavity modes via Pound-Drever-Hall (PDH) scheme. This technique was applied to eliminate the laser frequency instability arising from fluctuation of the birefringence in Al 0.92 Ga 0.08 As/GaAs crystalline mirror coatings by locking to the average frequency of orthogonally polarized cavity modes.
