Abstract
The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas (Bogotá, Colombia) Student Chapter was founded in 2008, but its activities were intermittent. The Chapter was reactivated in 2016, after more than three years of cessation, with the direction of Eric Gutierrez (president) and Stiven Gomez (vice president) and under the advice of Erika Upegui. The GRSS Student Chapter belongs to the Faculty of Engineering, and most of the students are in the Cadastral Engineering and Geodesy undergraduate program. The Chapter’s early chairs were Eric Gutierrez (2016), Laura Martin (2017), Cristian Salas (2018), Michael Rivera (2019), and Sergio Castellanos (2020). The Chapter has 24 participants as follows: 10 members, 10 volunteers, and four support teachers (Andrés Cardenas, Germán Ramirez, Luis Castillo, and Javier Medina).
