Building a virtual art gallery through panoramic technology can make online exhibitions more realistic and immersive, enabling visitors to experience the feeling similar to the real venues through the interactive operation. This paper analyzes the application status and implementation algorithm of panoramic tour technology. To break through the direct effects of traditional offline exhibitions on this foundation, we try to apply panoramic technology to virtual art galleries’ presentations. This paper proposed a panoramic tour interactive technical process specifically for art exhibitions and constructed the virtual reality interactive exhibition hall system embedded in Html5. It is a new digital interactive solution for art galleries and exhibitions adopted by the Art Museum of Central Academy of Fine Arts in China.
