Abstract
Image and Vision Computing New Zealand is an international conference, and New Zealand’s premiere conference on all areas of digital imaging in science and engineering. IVCNZ covers the full spectrum of topics from optical, sonar, radar, and imaging techniques, through industrial machine vision, to computer vision, computer graphics and virtual reality. It also encompasses the rapidly expanding transformational field of machine learning, as well as the study of the human visual system, as they pertain to digital imaging. This year we received 75 submissions and all papers received at least two reviews with the majority receiving three reviews from the international panel of domain experts. Based on this we initially accepted 50 papers for publication, a 67% acceptance ratio with 47 papers eventually presented at the conference and included in these proceedings. All included papers were subjected to a plagiarism check via IEEE CrossCheck.
