Abstract
There has been an increase in electrical braking mode for equipment on the airplane with the development of more electric aircraft (MEA). The traditional energy consumption brake not only causes the waste of energy but also requires additional cooling to reject the heat generated. A regenerative energy management method for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control system is proposed in this paper, which utilizes regenerative energy to supply power for electrical equipment with the bus voltage remaining stable simultaneously during the braking process. Detailed simulation and experiment are accomplished with a 10kw PMSM driving the flywheel, which has a large coefficient of inertia and can store much mechanical energy.
