Abstract
Fast charging stations of plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) will play an important role to support future low-carbon transportation network, which could also bring challenges to future power distribution network. To this end, this paper proposes a coordinated planning approach to optimize the location and capacity of PEV fast charging stations considering transportation-power distribution network couplings. The total profits of PEV fast charging stations are maximized through the optimization of the locations as well as the number of chargers and waiting spaces. The effectiveness of the proposed solution has been further confirmed through a series of simulation results.
