Abstract
This article focuses on the results of the mobile application development for self-assessment of the state of human pigmented skin lesions for early detection of melanoma. A distinctive feature of the developed mobile application for express assessment is the use of a spatial-color calibration standard, which is printed on paper. The standard is a size scale for determining the diameter and area of a lesion, as well as for correctly assessing the color of pigmented skin lesions. The calculation of the lesions parameters using the developed mobile application for express assessment was carried out for each of 520 images of the three test groups, the parameters of lesions of all images were previously calculated manually using the visual diagnostic method. In the process of studying the images of lesions, the parameters of the effectiveness of the investigated method of express-assessment of pigmented skin lesions were calculated: sensitivity was 95%, specificity-91%, accuracy- 93%.
